FAQs

WHAT’S OUR OPINION OF AI ART?

Now we don’t want to shit on anyone’s good time. Some think it is fun and therapeutic; we don’t see anything wrong with that. But don’t try to sell it as art or confuse yourself with an artist. None of the images on this site are AI-generated.

WHERE DO YOU GET THE IDEAS FOR YOUR DRAWINGS?

From life. From my personal experiences and observations.

WHY DO YOU MAKE SUCH DARK AND VIOLENT ART?

My doctor says it’s because of mental illness, to which I guess both dark subject matter, and creativity in general, are tied

I like to think I draw such painful and hard drawings because I feel those will do us the most good. That’s where all the turmoil is. And you always learn and grow more from the hardest and most painful experiences.

Plus it’s just the coolest shit.

WHY DO YOU USE SO MUCH BLOOD?

Blood is just the coolest tool in my story-telling arsenal. It can be used for anything. It can represent both life and death. Good and Evil. It can represent something that gives life and happiness or foreshadows upcoming devastation.

Blood is to metaphor and story, what “Fuck” is to language and expression. It’s just brilliant. It works everywhere and is always badass.

HOW DO YOU PICK YOUR ARTISTS

We invite artists based on our enjoyment and respect for their work. We meet them in all kinds of ways, but mainly online. Although we are invite-only, we encourage you to submit your visual art, modeling, music, and writing. Whatever you think we might be into. Mail to: submit@montyill.com

WHAT DO YOU OFFER ARTISTS AND MODELS?

An online home that will be seen by millions worldwide and will feature themselves and their work with links to their various social media and stores.

We spend oodles to promote our shirts, which brings a lot of visitors. Our hope is our artists can benefit and make sales from these guests.

We can help you get shows, supplies, fans, and support, about anything you need to be an artist today.

Do you pay artists/models for their work?

We don’t pay artists or models directly just for being on the site, although we would like to. It’s not smart to give out money, with none coming in, we would be broke in a week.

We do however pay for anything more done for us. Art, design, repair, anything we need done.
